I've been trying really hard not to write negative little jokes about EQ. I figure they're getting themselves in enough trouble without me adding to it by being snippy.
But, when I got the link below in an email yesterday, I knew resistance in this instance would be entirely useless.
Brenlo: "What AAs would you like to see in Omens of War? Remember that any ideas suggested may or may not be used."
Reader Response: "This post disturbs me. It means that the game designers who have a product in less than 2 months do not have a solid plan of what they want to introduce to the masses."
Another post, and a few deleted posts, later Brenlo says basically "Hey if everyone is going to complain, and no one is going to offer any suggestions, then I'm taking my ball and going home." <-- that's not an exact quote.
He then closes the thread.
What strikes me as humorous here though, is that the thread was only live for about 2 hours. Hell, that's barely enough time for anyone to actually FIND the post, let alone start submitting AA suggestions with any real merit.
The original responder raises a good point however. Omens of War is schedule for release in what? two months? And, they're asking folks what AA they might want? Uhmm... it SHOULD be a little late for that right?
Now, I know from talking to some SOE folks, that changes that have been made to the game make creating and altering abilities, like AA's, incredibly easy... but STILL!
Anywho, the thread provided the opportunity for a comic that I just couldn't resist.
