Completely unrealistic ( March 4th, 2005 )
I say Today's Comic is "completely unrealistic" because there isn't blood everywhere.

No, actually, the rivalry between SOE and Blizzard is as fabricated as an after market street rod. People have made a big deal out of a soft jab. But, I would be remiss if I didn't poke fun at the potential for humor. I think it'd be fun to put John Smedley and Mike Morhaime in the same room and let them fly... IF you could get them to drop their corporate bigwig, media-backlash fear, niceness.

And if we could see that, I COULD only hope it would look like today's comic.

I think my favorite part of the comic is that their final comments before labelling each other, are as much self depricating as they are jabs at the other game, kind of an homage to their respective abilities to shoot themselves in the foot.

Now, before you respond to this post, take a moment to internalize your criticism of the "other game". Remind yourself that we don't all play games the same way. So, it's pretty ridiculous to start comparing the games as if your opinion is the only one that matters. Let the games stand on their own freakin' merit. Let the games crumble under the weight of their own failings. And don't waste our time spouting the same ol' trivial gibberish AGAIN. Let everyone enjoy the games for their own reasons without trying to ruin their fun huh?
