Title: "Lifesized Stand-up" - discuss | 600x450
Comic Type: Woody & Ted | Posted: Tuesday June 26th, 2007
I mean... WHY would I care about being shorter than a piece of cardboard?
( June 26th, 2007 )
ConnectiCon is right around the corner now, and I'm still doing that last minute scramble to get in all the items I'm hoping to have in the booth. One such item, and it's the only one I'll tell you about, is a lifesize corrugated plastic stand-up of Ted. I've wrestled with the company who will be making it. But, it looks like it will still get here on time.
Manning a booth is not a new thing to me. But, I haven't done it for quite a while. So, it's important to me that the booth speak to the nature of GU. And were I'm trying to wrap my brain around the minor details, I think I've got enough items that I'll be proud of putting my stamp on the final product. We'll be setting up a dry run of the booth here at home before heading off to the convention. You'll have to wait for pictures though. Sorry. So, why a lifesize Ted standup? Photo-ops naturally. I've got $20 that says more people will want a picture with Ted than with me. ____________________ Today's Pimpage: The real Ted is wearing an "Octopus" shirt from Threadless.com. The other shirt, unfortunately, does not exist yet. [ discuss ] - replies ( 25 ) last post by: Woody [ top ]
