Via their fledgling blog, the Behemoth, developers of Alien Homonid, announced Tuesday that their much-longed-for XBLA, side-scrolling, multiplayer, adventure title Castle Crashers would have 22 unlockable characters that could be used throughout he came "by various different means". The DevBlog character list will be update as the game approaches launch.

Castle Crashers is another one of those games that, as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it. I mean, how could I resist those little knights? The art direction on this game, like Alien Hominid, appeals to me on a level that I am not clever or elequent enough to really explain. And the juxtaposition of the "cutesy" knights and the tail of destruction they leave in their wake amuses me to no end.

I encourage you, if you haven't already been following the game to go check it out. And if you find yourself smitten with the game and begin anticipating it's release, you can say thank you by sendng me the little knight figurines from the Behemoth store. [/kidding]
