You know, I was a touch apprehensive about drawing Vessy without her lipstick, eyeshadow, or her hair being pulled back with her trademark skull barrett. But now that I've done it, I'm not sure that I ever want to go back.
As for Ted's sentiment about having never been on his own, that's taken straight from my life. I went from a room in my mom's house, to a college dorm with a roommate, to living with a fellow artist off campus, to getting married, to living with my best friend during my divorce, and then moving in with Taks. It's an odd realization. But, I'd be lying if I said this was the first time it occurred to me. I'm an introvert. Even at my happiest I have moments when I just need to be by myself. So that's a more odd realization. To be a complete hermit and to have never spent time living on my own? Really?
So if you recall, I mentioned not too long ago that I had been approached about doing the artwork for a card in the video game called Alteil: Horizons. Well, that artwork is finished and I'm quite proud of it.
Alteil: Horizons is a tactical, turn-based, story-driven, sequel to one of Japan's most popular online card games. And now I'm a part of it. There's more info about the Kickstarter project and my artisitic addition here:
And a gameplay video of course:
I encourage you to buy in. But if you can't please support the project by sharing this post. Thanks folks. Hope you dig the artwork.
