Woody & Ted: "Halloween '10"
Posted: Friday October 29th, 2010 by

Since Halloween falls on the weekend, Stormy and I decided to run the "Halloween" strip this year a few days early. And it seems like Back to the Future is everywhere right now. (Thanks to its 25th anniversary.) So it's only natural that Ted would not only Dress up as Doc Brown, but bastardize one of his truly memorable quotes.

It's supposed to be "Roads? Where we're going we won't need roads" by the way.

Some of you are probably wondering why I, of all people, am dressed as George Lucas for Halloween. Well... people dress as things that they love, hate, fear, etc. for Halloween every year. It's no different for me. That's a basic answer though. The truth is far creepier. While I was at BlizzCon my laptop was on a desk. Behind the desk was a mirror. And after a long day at the Community Summit I took off my hat and went to work. My hair has gotten a bit long and desperately needs to be cut. Well, when I looked up some time later I noticed that my swoopy hair looked quite a bit like George's. And I just so happened to be doing this weird thing with my head that made me look even more like him. Whiten my hair & beard, give me a thin pair of glasses, the right wardrobe, and a ridiculous pair of oversized ears and I could almost pass for the man. Thus was the Halloween outfit idea born. It's down to the wire now, but I'm hoping to make it a reality by Sunday. **shrugs** We'll see.

Thanks everyone that stopped by the live feed while I was working. It was fun as always. And thanks to those of you that mentioned/confirmed the transparent tie Doc Brown was wearing. I was glad to be able to add that in just for you guys.
