Dungeons & Dragons: "Edson"

Our base of operations is a tavern called the Queen's Blessing. It's owner buys ale from my family. The taverns primary attendant, Edson, is a scrawny little creep with an eye for one of the members of our group. She's not interested, but that doesn't seem to deter him. And wouldn't say we've tried to kill him before but he's certainly been at the wrong end of plenty of Intimidate rolls.
I was honestly just trying to throw a curve ball at the DM to see how he handled it. It would have been interesting to see how the sniveling goob responded to combat. My money says at the first sword clang he'd run, without stopping, all the way back to town.
