Anti-Dipshit Avenger: "Confronting the Hack"

Okay, you guys know by now that I think George Lucas is a hack that got lucky with the first three Star Wars movies because he didn't have the tools at his disposal to fully ruin the films. So why do I bring this up now? Apparently the man is making more changes to the original trilogy for their BluRay release.
Here's the deal, you know the scene in Return of the Jedi where the Emperor is blasting Luke with Sith lightning? Vader looks between the Emperor and Luke before grabbing the Emperor and tossing him over the rail to his death. That quiet moment of silent contemplation before deciding to sacrifice to help his son is part of what makes the scene so powerful. Now we get an agonized "No" tossed in there. [more info] Why? It doesn't improve the scene in my mind, it weakens it.
As an artist I understand the desire to improve one's work. It's hard not to keep goofing with it long after you've screwed up what you had to start with. So I'll give Lucas that. But atleast provide us with the option to see it a different way. I want the original three films on BluRay in their original form. I don't think that's asking too much is it?
