At the Movies: "Kids"

I'm not overly fond of going to the movie theater, but I really don't like is smart phones. Put those two together and it's a little Woody nightmare. Add the smell of coffee and I'm in hell. So guess what's less than awesome? Theater branch executives are considering allowing the use of cellphones during movies. [more info]
It seems that kids these days are so attached to their phones that theater execs believe allowing cell phone use during movies is keeping them from pushing their parents' hard earned money through a tiny hole in a thick security window. Their idea? Allowing texting will re-open wallets. What's my opinion of their idea? Absolute bullshit.
Not allowing cell phone use during movies is NOT what's keeping people away. I won't go into the myriad things it probably is; that's a completely different post. Thoughts?
