This may be the 10th year of Free Comic Book Day, but this is the first year we've participated. I stepped away from comic books in highschool and never looked back. But theKid loves 'em. So we decided, sort of spur-of-the-moment, to head to Time Warp Comics in Boulder, CO. Three comics each from the main table, plus four more from the grab box table, and the kiddo walked out of there with enough comics to keep him entertain for at least fifteen to twenty minutes.
Atomic Robo was the only comic I insisted on getting. (Because I knew the hardcover Arachia book would be long gone by the time we got there.) There were members of the 501st, some makeshift robots, a Ghostbuster car, and a wealth of artists/writers etc. The kiddo soaked it all in. Becoming more the nerd he is destined to be.
How about you guys? Where'd you go? Who'd you see? What books did you grab?
