I saw a call a week or so ago for Twilight's newest installment to be voted Best Movie at the MTV Movie Awards extending the franchises Best Movie win streak to 4 years in a row. Apparently the call worked because it did in fact win, making it clear in my mind that MTV has become a useless mockery of itself.
I blame The Real World. Sure there was a wealth of talkyface shows on before that but after The Real World it became a different station. I went quickly from "I want my MTV" to "who the hell changed the channel to MTV". At this point I would literally have to be paid to watch MTV. And I might refuse if that payment meant I would be required to watch the MTV Movie Awards.
Okay, now that I'm done ranting like the old man I am, who here had no idea what a Trinitron was?
