Dungeons & Dragons: "Domestic Policy"
Posted: Saturday November 12th, 2016 by

There is unintentional thematic continuity here. The comic idea itself was written months ago. (Thanks Seamus!)

I'm not sure if I'd mentioned it, but our Sunday Night D&D group has been playing the 5th Edition version of Raveloft, "Curse of Strahd". And, as is the case in all of our games, pop culture references find their way into the narrative. There are few bright spots within the campaign setting, so the group's sense of humor takes over.

Now, when this joke came about, it was actually related to Villaki. And where it was funny and made a certain amount of sense, Baron Vallakovich's plan had little to do with a wall. And, the choking mists are in no way his doing. Dmitri Krezkov, the Burgomaster of Krezk is a closer analogue to the intent of the comic, if not exactly the method. He's got his wall. And, no one gets in. But, my group hasn't gotten to Krezk yet. So, I'm taking a little bit of liberty with Seamus' joke here. I'm sure he won't mind.

No more demi-political jokes for a while, I promise.
