Daydreams Comics: Kickoff | Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3

In an effort to celebrate the biggest Civilization expansion ever (Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword), Firaxis has challenged the gaming community to create fanart/comics set in the Civ world. Additional information about the contest can be found here: Civilization Daydreams Contest.

As part of the Daydreams promotion 2K has convinced quite a few professional webcomics to offer their take on the game. We here at GU comics will be debuting new custom Civ IV comics July 26th, August 2nd, and August 9th. Other participaing webcomics include 8-Bit Theater, Control-Alt-Delete, Dueling Analogs, MyExtraLife and PvPOnline. Animated shorts from the creative team behind Over the Hedge will be included as well. You'll be able to find the various contributions on the creators' websites and at www.apolyton.net, www.civfanatics.com and planetcivilization.gamespy.com.

The Civilization Daydreams site (linked above) will be updated weekly with the various Daydreams comics and animated shorts. Check back here on 7/26, 8/2, and 8/3 for our three page comic short.
