GU Live via uStream.tv ( April 25th, 2008 )
Tune in and watch the comic come together Live each night.
Were you ever curious as to how I produce the comics? Well, for the last few nights I've been streaming the process live. So, if you're really curious you can watch, ask questions, talk to other folks in the room about what's going on, etc.
You can find the feed (when it's live) and the chatroom here: http://www.gucomics.com/live/ You'll need a uStream account to chat. No worries, it's free. And if you're one of the folks that can get immediate updates via Twitter, I've started using that to announce when a feed is starting. http://www.twitter.com/gucomics I'll keep doing the feeds until it's obvious you guys are no longer interested. It's a pretty good opportunity to see how I work, if you dig that kind of thing. And a chance to ask questions where I can not only answer but show you what I'm doing. I hope you guys get a kick out of it. I tend to start working around 6pm Mountain (GMT-7) the day before the comic is posted. But that time can fluxuate wildly depending on how the gaming news is flowing. Last Updated: May 1st, 2008
Relay for Life (Goal Met!) ( March 10th, 2008 )
My mom's annual walk to fight Cancer. (Raised: $500 | Goal $500)
My mom called about the yearly walk she does to benefit Cancer Research. She asked if I would mention it here on the site. Here's the message she asked me to pass on:
My name is Christine Greene. I am Woody's mother. I am 56 years old and am a cancer survivor. Most recently I was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer as a result of many years of severe acid reflux. I was diagnosed three weeks before Christmas in 2005. I started my chemotherapy a few days before Christmas that year and ended my treatments in April of 2006. I've participated in two Relay for Life walks. I strongly believe that if it had not been for Cancer Research that has brought about the medicines and treatments that I went through for my cancer I would not be here today.
My way of giving back to the American Cancer Society is to walk in this Relay and raise funds to go towards Research. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Donations need to be received by April 5th, 2008. Thank you very much! Mom's donation goal is $500 this year. Hopefully we can reach that in short order. To sponsor her "Relay for Life" walk you can donate via Convio.Net here: Christine Greene's Relay for Life Donation Page If you prefer to donate by check please use the following form: American Cancer Society Offline Donation Form Thanks for your help folks! Oh look! New links. ( January 25th, 2008 )
I've added some new links and a new feature to the GU links page.
Someone recently mentioned that they wished I would add new links to the GU links page every so often. And I don't think they realized that I do. It just wasn't being indicated in any noticeable way.
Well now a simple white asterisk does the trick. Each new site added to the GU Links section within the last month are marked. Speaking of links: http://www.gucomics.com/links.php Last Updated: April 25th, 2008

The GU Store re-Opens ( January 19th, 2008 )
Poster, Buttons Postcards, Stickers, and links to our two T-shirt providers.
For last year's ConnectiCon, we put together an ample supply of table goodies but could only take so much with us. And the rest I promised to make available to you guys, but I'd need to revamp the GU Store to do it. Well I procrastinated for long enough, now everything is up and running. Hopefully it's all running smoothly as well.
Here's the link: http://www.gucomics.com/store/ Some things to note... We do not handle the tshirts; we have two companies that do that for us. But, we do ship the posters, buttons, stickers, and post cards directly (allowing me to sign some of those items for you, if you want). We use paypal to manage online sales. So, if anything goes wonky... please feel free to blame them. **whistles** Unfortunately, by law, we have to charge Colorao residents state sales tax. Sorry. We have tried to keep all shipping costs reasonable though. I hope you guys enjoy what we currently have to offer. Thanks for your patronage. Last Updated: April 25th, 2008
