Woody & Ted: "Damn Wires"

I've been using my computer as my TV for about a year now. I have a TV tuner in it, a nice speaker system, DVD player, and a pretty large monitor. But, lately it's become apparent that this was no longer sufficient.
So, my girlfriend and I went out and got a new TV, finally. But, with a new TV, comes the need for a TV stand, and a DVD player (since the one we were using is still part of my computer), we also went ahead and bought a surround sound system (was a combo package thing with the DVD player), and since that much money was being spent anyway... we have an actual XBox now.
Well, when all was said and done, I had this HUGE jumble of wires that would need to be routed, plugged in, and checked, before everything would work properly. So, I decided to use that as the basis of Today's Comic.
Ted's predicament is an obvious one. Even for the non-novice home theatre system installer, it take a while to sort out all the wires. And ultimately, it's as simple as plugging the XBox's RCA cables into this nifty little spot on the side of the TV. (Note: I didn't do that by the way. I wanted it to be on it's own input on the back of the TV so we don't have to unplug it, and we don't have to look at ugly wires hanging out of the side of the TV.)
And as for my comments in the strip. Well... I plugged everything in, and it worked on the first go. **shrugs** I felt smart. **grins**
