The summit and PvP?

Well I was just wondering, I read Woodys write up on the summit. Interesting stuff. The thing is I quit EQ1 about 3 almost 4 years ago now. I know there is no way Iíll ever come back to EQ1 its just been to long and the game has changed to much for me to jump back in. I know there have got to be a lot of ex EQ1 players out there like me that just want to hold out and get a fresh start in EQ2 instead.

I know that woody got a look at EQ2 but said that it was something for a whole other write up.

Now I would think that the new attitude about EQ1 would be reflected in EQ2. They clearly wouldnít want to make the same mistakes twice, and it sure sounds like they are trying not to. When I first heard about EQ2 I didnít even want anything to do with it because of all the problems that never where fixed in EQ1. The EQ2 boards Iíve been reading lately (only in the last month) make it sound like EQ2 is going to be a whole different animal from EQ1 and I find myself slowly being won over by the new ideas and attitudes where now seeing from SOE, and its is only that, that has gotten me to consider EQ2 again as something I would want to have anything to do with.

So what Iím wondering is what if anything at the summit was said about PvP? As there ideas and attitudes about PvP in EQ1 will reflect there feelings for PvP over all and give some idea of how they want to handle it in EQ2. I know they say they want meaningful PvP in EQ2 and that they will not have any type of Zek servers at launch and that we may have to wait 6 months or more (gods I hope not!) for them to come up if ever!

So I just wanted to know if you heard any peep about EQ2 PvP or anything about EQ1 PvP that may give some notion of how strongly they feel about the subject?

It just seems like the Good vs Evil nature of EQ2 is just made for PvP after all.

If casual gamers, and role players are considered the minority in EQ then casual PvP role players have got to be the smallest minority of all, but we still want to get some love from SOE too! Some of the most fun I had in EQ was playing with the Elven Empire which was a small elf only pvp guild from back in the day.

(Small disclaimer, its 4am and Iím not feeling to very good so this post may feel a little disjointed if so Iím sorry about that.)
