Warning: Do not read this thread is you're under the age.of..erm..we'll say 13...not sure how old you would be. Also, if you have a young child, how can read, don't let them see this!
They gone? Good.
My question is, how old were you when you find out Santa Clause isn't real, in the sense of a real person? And before someone redflags me YES I know that not all of you did believe in Santa Clause....but I wanna to damnit, and I'm not sure I know how to be pc about this. Anyho.. I'll start with how I found out.
I'm not sure when exactly I figured it all out I think it was around age 10. Not sure though..I mean whenever I asked my dad if Santa was real, he'd always said: " Santa is the spirit of Christmas, and good will to all people, and if you have kindness in your heart, for you Santa will always be real." ( That's what I get for asking a fairly religious/tolerant/loving person...knew I should have asked mom...)
Anyway, nobody really told me ( that I would believe) it was little clues that lead me to find out.
Mom and Dad always so tired in the morning.
Dad insisting he had to go into the living room ( present centeral) first. ( Which I discovered was him just making sure they'd remebered everything.)
The fact one year my dad had carrot in his teeth. ( We always left a carrot for Rudloph.) And that the cookies we put out were my mom's favourite.
Lastly, it was the fact me and my sister had to go to bed, while mom and dad got to stay up and to help Santa. ( They started tell me this after one year I had a nightmare, and went screaming downstairs to find all the Christmas presents there.)
