Gaming News: "Old Yellow Coot!"

Making the news rounds yesterday, I ran across Chris Morris' Game Over write-up concerning the dot eating, ghost chasing, pizza-inspired, little, yellow, cultural icon that's turning 25 this year. [ more info ]
In the earliest roots of my gaming life Pac Man played a part. I was never really any good at it myself. But, my sister played the game like a pro. She happened to be the best Galaxia player I've ever seen too.
It just amazes me that Pac Man is nearly as old as I am. And in gaming terms, is damn near ancient. Sure there have been follow up games, cartoons, etc over the years, but it's that pixelated chomping circle, that earliest iteration that we all remember so well.
Anywho, I'll stop waxing nostalgic now, and leave the rest of the commentary to you guys. Let's talk about the earliest video games you remember playing... arcade or otherwise.
