Woody & Ted: "What have we learned?"
Posted: Tuesday June 6th, 2006 by

This is one of those comics based entirely on actual events! No no, I didn't cut Taks' hands off for touching my computer. The real story is much more wierd.

A vent in our spare bedroom (which I use as a workout room) was annoying me, so I tried to close it. When it wouldn't close, I popped it out of the hole so I could see what was jamming up the works. Well, after getting it working again, I tried to put it back in place, but the metal sides of the air duct below were keeping it from sliding completely back into place. I banged on it a bit, before deciding I'd have to slide it in place. In so doing, the vent got wedged and my hand continued to go forward. In a battle of metal vs. hand, metal always seems to win. It made a pretty significant cut in the palm of my NON-drawing hand.

That, of course, lead me to want to do a comic about cutting my hand; but, I had to figure out a more interesting reason. That eventually lead to the idea of booby trapping my keyboard to keep the likes of Ted from tinkering with my settings. You know how that goes. You get something set up just the way you like, then someone else comes along and fouls it up.

So there, I've shown you how the comics come together graphically. Now, you see how the text of a comic comes together.

UPDATE: Forgot to add Today's Pimpage.
