Poopy Strip: "Guitar Hero III"

There was a quick knock at the door right around 5pm Friday. The long box propped against the column on my porch told of a certain possible delivery. It was before the release date; but, there it was. Guitar Hero III.
Now, I put the guitar away Saturday. So the game wasn't actually responsible for the lack of comic today. Actually the original idea for today's comic (which should be posted sometime later this week) was a bit more difficult to draw than I thought it was going to be. So I had to bail on it when I realized there was no way it was going to be done on time. Sorry though. No hints.
After RedOctane released "Rocks the 80's" I swore it would take a miracle to get me to buy another of their products. The game was a shallow money grab that depressed me. Metallica's "One" and the Rolling Stones' "Paint it Black" was Guitar Hero III's miracle. Now I'm glad I caved. The feel of the songs reminds me of the first game.
The graphics are unnecessarily nice. The UI is very clean. And even though I really do not like the heads up guitarist battles thrown into the middle of the career. It is still an interesting idea. It's exactly the kind of thing Taks said she wanted in a guitar battle. But, honestly when was the last time you played the guitar so well that you snapped another guitarists strings? Meh... digress Woody. Digress.
Anyway, I'd just like to end this post by saying I really got a kick out of drawing Iggy as Slash. That was almost worth failing to finish the original comic idea right there.
