World of Warcraft: "Disturbing 'Drop' Rate"

As many of you know, I'm not one for alts. I play my main character until I get bored, move on, or something new comes along. But, after running through a couple of heroics with Druid as the tank, I figured it was time to give an old stand-by a shot. He was only level 10 and had been ignored for months, and even now he goes unplayed for days or weeks at a time. But I've slowly played him up to his low-mid thirties.
Last night, as I made another leveling push, I ran headlong into the Helcular's Revenge line of quests the first step of which is to retrieve Helvular's Rod from the Yeti's near Tarren Mill. I got over 80% of my level killing yetti after yeti trying to get the thing to drop. And I probably died 8 times in the process as a Feral Druid doesn't really have much in the way of crowd control other than root and soothe. Well, root doesn't work "indoors" and the soothe I have doesn't work on humanoids (which is what the yetis are considered).
About 1000xp from leveling, approximately 3 kills, the rod finally dropped and I took a moment to rant about my plight in chat. And then reading what I'd written, prompty criticized my own phrasing.
I'm not one for breaking up sentences as indicated in the comic, but it's exactly what I wrote. **sighs at himself**
I just made myself sad.
