Speaking with GameIndustry.biz, EAs Vice-President of Corporate Communications, Jeff Brown, commented on Activision and Vivendi leaving the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) revealing his belief that the departure "reflects an unfortunate lack of leadership".

Now, I don't mind game company executives running off at the mouth. It's a good source of material. But I'd be an infinitely more happy individual if they'd limit their comments to their own products, company, and associations. I understand that Vivendi/Activision leaving the ESA is a point of concern for an ESA member like EA, but it's not this guys place to mete out judgement about another company's reasons for departure, whether he's right or not.
This is a pretty common theme at GU. I just figure that if they're so eager to stick their own feet in their mouths, mine will probably fit too.
