Realizing I needed a bit of a break yesterday Stormhaven suggested that I have Ted completely tangled in his wires, hanging helplessly, while -I- walk up and take the copy of StarCraft II. I liked the idea and even began drawing it that way this morning and realized I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to draw, ink, color, and light a massive tangle of wires. It sounds simple, but it's really quite intense.
So I did what I could to maintain the core idea -Woody denying Ted the game while Ted is still stuck- but give myself an easier go at the artwork. If I could just get in front of the artwork, maybe the time spent on the comics will begin to even itself back out.
I wish I could say there's been some payoff for all the extra work. But, there's not. A couple of traffic spikes, but nothing sustained. So, I'm asking again that you guys drag everyone you know back to the comic. If they say "yeah I used to go all the time then it stopped being funny", just remind them that Stormhaven is doing the writing now. If they make some other excuse beat them over the head with a club and drag them to the site caveman style. **grins**
I need to take a few commissions if I can. I had a big one fall through and would like to secure enough smaller ones to make up for it. You can get more information about commissions here: http://www.gucomics.com/commissions Thanks for considering it.
