In 2006 Duke Nukem series creator George Broussard figured Duke Nukem Forever would be released "when pigs fly". The team developing DNF has since been laid off. But yesterday Broussard posted a picture to his twitter account of pigs flying. [more info] Since GU has its own "when pigs fly" history with Duke Nukem Forever, I figured it was worth a visual nod.
As I've mentioned before, I don't really care about Duke Nukem Forever. Never played earlier iterations. The series doesn't appeal to me. But addressing the drama is fun.
So those of you looking forward to the game and happy to hear that Gearbox Software (rumor) might actually bring the game to the table with 2K publishing, please feel free to giggle and clap. My understanding is that we will be given more concrete information during PAX this weekend.
Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox, confirmed that they are indeed working on the game and there is currently a playable verion of the game on the PAX showfloor at the 2K Games booth. [more info]
