Gaming News: "The Big Announcement"

"Everyone" seems to be gibbering about Blizzard's pending game announcement. Speculation thus far has centered around idea that they'll release Diablo III, Starcraft II, or a Starcraft-based MMOG. But I say prepare yourself for anything, just in case.
Not that I believe Blizzard will turn the whole thing on it's ear, and release something completely unexpected. But, it would amuse me to no end if one or more of their "Classic Arcade" titles resurfaced instead of what everyone is inching out to the edges of their seats waiting for. And with the mad rush to get games onto XBox Live Arcade and the Wii's virtual console it wouldn't be THAT bad an idea. Hell, for all I know they already are available on XBLA and WVC.
I've done my best to avoid posting about my wishes because some people have a habit of letting me know how completely wrong my opinion is. (which alwasys amuses me because opinions can't be wrong) But, since the comic broaches the subject...
Since I've never played any of the Diablo games, and I suck at RTS's (but enjoyed Starcraft), I'd love to see a Starcraft MMOG. After having seen what Blizzard was doing with the buildings and ships for Ghost, the game would be stunning. The genre really needs a kickass sci-fi MMOG right now. And, as I've said before, I honestly believe that a StarCraft MMOG would make WoW look small. Of course, I said that before WoW hit 8 million users worldwide; so "look small" is probably no longer valid.
If Mike Morhaime happens to email me and fill me in on the announcement, I promise i will won't let you guys in on it early. **wink wink**
