Face mapping technology is nothing new. It's the application of that technology that's interesting. As I was watching television a few nights ago a commercial came on wherein Kimbo, a viral-video street fighting monster, was promoting EA Sports' new boxing game Facebreaker by talking about your ability to put the face of any person in the game. [more info] Ostensibly this means you can also break the face of any person in the game. A few commercial cycles later Snoop Dogg confirmed Kimbo's previous claims.

As fun as it sounds to put the faces of your best friends in a game and then pummel them into mush sounds, always keep in mind that it's a two way street. Not only can your friends return the favor, they can upload your face to the EA Sports World Boxer Share Gallery so the world can pummel you into mush as well.
Facebreaker is available now for the 360 and PS3. Facebreaker K.O. Party for Wii will be available November 13th.
