Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: "Decision Making Process"
Posted: Thursday September 11th, 2008 by

After a quote from Pixelux Entertainment (developer of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed) COO Vik Sohal that seemed to indicate that a PC version of Force Unleashed was on the way, Lucas Arts quickly tightened up the communication ranks and denied the rumor unequivocably. [more info] Unleashed 360/PS3 Producer, Cameron Suey, explained the decision saying, "someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn't be the same game". [more info]

Okay okay okay so my anti-Lucas bias tainted the comic. But the truth is stranger than even my ridiculous "Lucas is a Hack" ravings.

The developers of the game are using the fact that all computers are not the same as a reason to not port the game to the PC. What kind of pitiful excuse is that? They're releasing versions of the game on the 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP, and the PS2. [more info] They're telling us that the gameplay across those platforms are going to be close enough so that they don't fall into the same category?

I call banthashit. No offense.

Please Note:
George Lucas really had nothing to do with this decision. I'm just targeting him because I think he's a hack and he's easily recognizable.
