Guitar Hero: "Double and Triple"

At an analyst day event Activision-Blizzard announced their intention to double the number of Guitar Hero skus next year and triple them by 2010.

When Activision bought RedOctane I was pretty vocal about my fears that Guitar Hero would be "milked for all it's worth." Now here were are two years later and they're basically admitting as much.
With Guitar Hero: Aerosmith on the shelves and Guitar Hero: Metallica in the works, I would assume that is what we'll be seeing double then triple of. I can only assume they're easier to develop. It's not exactly like the feel of the game hasn't been sacrificed already anyway. Might as well crank up the number of watered-down, regurgitations they're rolling out.
