So, played Plants vs. Zombies almost the whole day. Then Taks came home and after getting the Kid down for the night, she got wrapped up in the game too. If you haven't already, I encourage you to go try the demo.
I'll be honest with your here. It's everything I hoped it would be and maybe a little more. The replay value is fantastic. The graphics are cutesy but in a way that perfectly frames the core feel of the game. The gameplay and unit design are clever to say the least. This is probably my favorite game in years. Now, let's take a minute to let that sink in. World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Lego Star Wars, Fairway Solitaire... and they're all currently running behind Plants vs. Zombies.
I'll be honest, I could do without the crazy neighbor next door. But hey, someone has to update you as the game changes while wearing a pot on his head. And, twiddydinkies don't sell themselves.
Now if you excuse me, I didn't beat what I suspect to be the final boss last night before I started working on the comic. And I'd like to see if the mini-games and puzzles get difficult.
