When Ted sees something he wants, he becomes pretty unstoppable in his pursuit of it. That's probably what helps him nestle so easily into the "hardcore gamer" mold. But, obviously, his tenacity isn't limited to the game world. I'm sure being fearless doesn't hurt either.
Let's just hope prison isn't the end result. I hear computer hacking is a crime.
