Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: "Being Honest"
Posted: Friday June 25th, 2010 by

This comic is an ogre. Ogres are like onions. Onions have layers. Ogres have layers. This comic has layers. Now, before you look at me cross eyed and ask what the hell I'm talking about, let me just say "there was never any question in my head that Ted would keep the 205" screen".

The reason for that is simple. It's not my place to say "no". It wasn't a gift to me. It was a gift to Ted. I wouldn't question the acceptance of a gift from one of his family members just because I didn't understand the motivation for it. Therefore, if Ted decided to keep the screen, I could make a case for sending it back. But, ultimately there's little actual room for me to say "no". I just have to grin, bear it, and try desperately to convince him that he shouldn't put it in his bedroom where I would have less access to it. **coughs**

Anywho, layers...
At its core this comic is about enjoying the massive screen despite the fact that it came from my arch nemesis (even if he doesn't know it) Bobby Kotick, Activision's CEO. Playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen at 7 feet tall may be awesome but it doesn't change my feelings for the man. The sub context of the comic is that despite how good CoD:MW2 might be, Bobby Kotick still sucks. The fortunate thing for me is that I can say that because I wasn't the one that accepted the 205" screen.

What's this? Cake? This is my cake? OH! And I can eat it too? Marvelous.
For the record, I've never played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
