At the Movies: "Sonic the Hedgehog"

Yes, I've watched the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog. (Thank you for asking.) No, I don't like the design of Sonic.
Yes, I like the casting of Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. No, I don't like Jim's artwork. Well, most of it.
So, given the tragic missteps in Sonic's design and Carrey's almost painful approach to art, I have to assume the new Sonic is Jim's fault. Okay okay, that's all wildly unfair. It's only my opinion which counts for nothing. The truth is, I wanted to draw Jim AS Dr. Robotnik, but once I put the crazy mustache and goggles on, it didn't look enough like Jim Carrey anymore. Even more to the point, the comic should be Jim, dressed as Robotnik, painting Sonic. Then all of this would somehow make sense to the uninitiated. **shrugs** Live and learn.
Maybe that's a piece for tomorrow.
