Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80's: "Ted's Dedication"

This past Monday (5/21), Activision added a few more confirmed tracks to their upcoming 80's edition of Guitar Hero. The set list thus far is: "Round and Round" by Ratt, "I Want Candy" by Bow Wow Wow, "Metal Health" by Quiet Riot, "Holy Diver" by Ronnie James Dio, and "Heat of the Moment" by Asia, "I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls , "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister, Skid Row's "18 and Life," Faster Pussycat's "Bathroom Wall," Billy Squier's "Lonely is the Night," Poison's "Nothing But a Good Time," Extreme's "Play With Me," Eddie Money's "Shakin'," and "Synchronicity II" by the Police. Activision also announced that the game's title would be changed to Guitar Hero Encore: Rock's the 80's. This will be the last Guitar Hero title developed by Harmonix.

80's glam-rock was virtually inescapable for a quietly rebellious youth such as myself. I moved quickly beyond it to embrace the heavier, less hair-poofed metal of the day. But, I'm still familiar with all of the songs. And where I'd like to disassociate myself from Rock's ridiculous 80's fashion sense, I'm fine accepting the finger pointing criticism that comes with admitting that I fondly remember the music. I'd even go so far as to say that I can't wait to rock out on "Metal Health", "Holy Diver", and "18 and Life".
The GH-joy doesn't end there though. Today, Activision came back to taunt the Guitar Hero loving masses with news and a partial tracklist for Guitar Hero III. Apparently there will be two different guitar versions: the Gibson Les Paul for the 360, PS3, and Wii and a Gibson Kramer for PS2. You can see the announced tracks here: "Gamespot: Guitar Hero III songs named". I'm sweating "Paint It Black" and "Sabotage" especially since they're using the original recordings and not covers.
