Woody & Ted: "Completely Unexpected"
Posted: Monday May 28th, 2007 by

Yesterday as I opened and read the daily explosion in my inbox that morning brings, I found myself staring curiously at a single email. I knew it was not as it appeared. It couldn't be. But there it was, an email from Peter Moore, subject: "Tell me if it's right".

Like I said, I knew it was spam before I opened the thing. I've never had any contact with Mr. Moore. But, I couldn't deny the sense of "what if". I mean, I've done my share of comics with Peter Moore in them. I don't think any of them have been kind. And, I have to say I have gotten completely unexpected emails (and phone calls) before from people I just assumed had no idea I existed. But, Peter Moore? So when I opened the email, despite knowing better, there was still that tiny glimmer of hope. I couldn't help but laugh when the "Fast Delivery"/"Lowest Price Guantee" - "Viagra", "Cialis", "Ambien", "Xanax" - "Save up to 80%" spam image loaded. (That's how they get around text filtering.)

Later that same day I turned to Taks, and (except for the final word bubble) we had the exact conversation from the comic. See? I'm not the only one that thinks there could potentially be an email from Peter Moore in my inbox. Though, to give Taks credit, I did say... "I got an email from Peter Moore". That would typically mean I'd already screened/confirmed the email.

It was still funny though.

Today's Pimpage: Ted is wearing a "Defend The Kingdom" shirt from Threadless.Com.
