Yesterday WoWInsider broke the news that PopCap had created a Peggle add-on for World of Warcraft. [more info] But rather than just being a window that pops open on command, this port seems to be fully integrated into the game. You can challenge other players to Peggle duels and score battles. Or, you can use it in a group setting to determine who gets to loot. The only disappointing aspect of the add-on is that there are currently only two Peggle Masters to choose from, Bjorn or Splork.

I had a comic all cued up for today, then I saw this news and everything changed. I downloaded and played the add-on last night. It's great. But, like Bejeweled before it, it has a habit of taking my attention right out of the very game it's embedded in.
I uh... I beat all the levels. Now I just have to 100% them all. **whistles** See, in WoW Peggle you earn a "talent point" for beating a stage. You earn another point for clearing it 100%. Your talent points can then be used to improve your scoring in the game. Talent points don't apply when challenging other players.
All in all this mash is great. PopCap really seems to understand the casual gaming market. If you're still playing WoW and you liked Peggle, I highly recommend grabbing this download. I mean, what do you have to lose, it's FREE.
