With all the discussion of account privacy last week, it only seems fair to mention that the FBI is, yet again, pushing to require "wiretap backdoors" to all forms of internet communications. They've been told why it's a horrible idea. They don't care. They may be smart enough to understand but they're too power hungry to care. [more info]
