HeroQuest: "Opening Doors"

I don't know how many of you have played it, but HeroQuest is awesome. It's a Milton Bradly board game released in the late 80's. It tosses the complexities of D&D out the door while maintaining the simple fun and roleplaying. After playing the game quite a bit in highschool, I finally got my hands on a copy to play on nights when folks are missing from our regular Sunday Night D&D group.
So our first chance to play it was last night. And it was just as enjoyable as I remembered. Though this time I was behind the screen rather than rolling movement dice and opening doors myself. Well, if you've played the game you know that great care should be taken when opening doors. Some rooms are absolutely littered with monsters.
When a door is open the monsters are activated and start to move, otherwise they stay put. So a gung-ho member of the party can really mess things up for the rest of the group. Eventually they learn caution. Typically it's after a few very close calls.
So how many of you have played this fantastic game?
