Dungeons & Dragons: "Plus Fourteen"

Shakillah is our Goliath Barbarian. Typically he hits like a mac truck. But last Sunday he was rolling for crap. So, the group rallied and made it virtually impossible to miss.
So yeah, he got +2 for flanking, +3 from my Warlord's Favor, +1 for Bolstering Breath from Saghir, and +8 using Avalanche Strike because he's a monster. Seamus our "evil" DM sees the bonus and says "You're going to roll a 1". And roll a 1 he did.
Do you know what it sounds like when six heads hit the table simultaneously while the DM laughs maniacally? Neither do we but we can imagine.
