Dawngate: "Shaper"

I've heard the name Dawngate before. I've even seen some of the graphics. I had no idea that it was EA's attempt at a MOBA though. Now it seems the game is being cancelled. [more info] The game has been in open beta for the last 6 months and, according to EA, it was progressing; it just wasn't progressing fast enough. Those who have spent money on the game during beta will be entitled to a full refund. I'm guessing part of what happened here was that, in terms of how much money the game was producing, Dawngate wasn't getting anywhere close to LoL's conversion rates and open beta numbers weren't growing fast enough. Just a guess though. I accept that I could be wrong.
