This past Tuesday, Marjo, the Ryzom Community Liaison explained that the game had fallen into receivership yet again. Gameforge France , the company that currently owns the game, has filed for bankruptcy and unless a buyer steps up within the next three weeks Ryzom will likely be liquidated along with the rest of the company's assets.

I only experienced a very small portion of Ryzom via couple of guided tours. But, with two companies hitting the skids within a year it looks as though there's not much that can save the game from disappearing.
