I don't often give in to gamer expectations, but last night, as soon as 12:01 PDT hit, I began the process of pasting my password into the Diablo 3 Launcher and hitting Login over and over as fast as I could Getting in would be a matter of luck as I knew the servers would be overwhelmed. I saw Error 37 over and over again. But I kept at it. When I did finally get in I gave in to another game expectation and "pulled an all nighter". I went to bed with a smile as the rest of my family was waking up to begin their day. And, I was okay with that. I got a few hours of sleep, got up, and got to work. So here's your late comic.
Last night I only managed to get through what I had already experienced in Beta. The silver lining is the knowledge that everything after this will be new. Now, it's unlikely that I'll go through another overnight session like I did last night. But I wanted to give in a little to my natural gamer tendencies. Even having played the content in Beta, I enjoyed my time.
The question now is, when will I get to play again? That's a tough one. I've got a lot of work to do and more work gets piled up every day. Example: I still haven't sent off the Daily Doodle prints. Soon though Sponsors. SOON. So, Diablo 3 may be my gaming desert, as it were, for some time to come. A half hour here, an hour there. And I'm okay with that.
So for the rest of you that have logged in some time, what do you think?
Two quick pieces of business:
1) There are a few Daily Doodles still available for sponsorship.
You can see them here: Daily Doodle Grid. Contact me for details.
2) As silly as it is, I'm still trying to prove a point. So head on over to topwebcomics.com and up-vote GU.
