I was making my nightly gaming news rounds when I ran into a story at ActionTrip regarding the "Steam Hardware Survey". Conducted by Valve, the survey questioned Steam users as to their system hardware, OS, etc. Of the 200 thousand respondents a mere 5% have upgraded to Vista while less than 2% have DirectX 10 capable graphics cards.

Now, the survey doesn't mean much to me, and I don't really consider ActionTrip a serious source of gaming news. But, at the end of the article the author tossed in the following line: "Sometimes I wonder if Bill Gates and the gang are looking to deliberately kill PC gaming".
I took the comment and ran with it. I personally don't think Bill Gates is evil. But, the idea of him doing a commercial for a little "evil pick-me-up" snack, appealed to me on so many levels, especially when said snack is called "Lemon Flavored Kitten Souls".

It has come to my attention that the Action Trip comment is not coming across quite as I intended. I didn't mean to imply that they are not a valid news source. It's obvious that they do their work. It's just that I do not consider any site (especially my own) a "serious" news source unless they are primarily breaking news not just retelling it from other sources.
Labeling a news site "serious" or not is an act of personal experience and bias. And, my comment could very easily be considered demeaning which it was not intended to be. I visit Action Trip several times per week (for news and the comic), and hate to think that a textual mistep on my part might have come across as dismissive.
To that end, whether it is seen or not, I would like to extend an apology to the staff at ActionTrip.Com.
Sorry for the late comic, I had to spend some time with Taks. She lost her footing and butt-slid down our stair case. She's fine just a little sore and carrying some minor carpet burns.
